A different kind of alarm company
In the spring of 2007, while vacationing in California, my alarm stopped working back home in Orlando. I received a call from my alarm company informing me of the problem. I requested a service call, told them I was out of state, and volunteered my neighbor to provide entry into my home. To my surprise, the alarm company told me they were booked three weeks out and couldn’t get there any sooner. After pleading for their help, the alarm company told me, "Alarm systems are a luxury. You should be glad you can afford one."
Moments later I was researching how to start a business in Florida. I knew I could treat people better. I wanted to start a company that treated everyone like family and not just a number.
